Aidan O'Brien set to unleash Ballydoyle in 1000 Guineas at Newmarket

Aidan O'Brien would be "very happy" to run Ballydoyle in the Qipco 1000 Guineas at Newmarket on Sunday week.
The Group One-winning daughter of Galileo impressed her trainer in a workout on Saturday morning and is now likely to join stablemate Minding, the ante-post favourite for the Fillies' Classic, in the line-up.
Speaking after her gallop, O'Brien told Channel 4 Racing: "That was lovely, you'd have to be very happy.
"On that piece of work, we'd be very happy to run in the English Guineas."
Ballydoyle has not run this season but looked the part at Longchamp in October when she won the Prix Marcel Boussac by a length and a quarter.
Air Force Blue is favourite for the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket next Saturday but O'Brien expressed a slight reservation about the trip as the War Front colt steps up to a mile for the first time.
The three-year-old enjoyed a spectacular juvenile campaign that saw him claim three Group Ones, including the Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket.
O'Brien said: " He did his last piece of work yesterday and I think he's there now.
"We are a little bit worried about the mile in the Guineas because he's so quick.
"The i deal plan would be Newmarket, Irish Guineas and Royal Ascot, but, if not, we have the option to shorten up."
Investec Derby favourite US Army Ranger could complete his Classic preparations by competing at Chester's May meeting.
His trainer is keen to get more match practice into the son of Galileo after having only raced once as a juvenile, when he won a heavy-ground maiden at the Curragh last April.
O'Brien said: "Because the ground was soft, everything was in slow motion the first day he ran, so he probably didn't learn an awful lot.
"It's possible we'll go to Chester and he'll have to learn a lot very quickly."
