Joey Haynes was taken to hospital in France for precautionary scans on his head after suffering a fall at Chantilly.
The incident took place aboard the Karl Burke-trained newcomer Baie D'Amour during the closing stages of the opening five-furlong contest on the card.
"Joey had a nasty fall. The horse went to duck out at the gap up the home straight, where the horses come on to the track, as she was drawn near that rail," said Burke.
"Unfortunately, he got a bang to his head and he has now gone off for a precautionary scan at the local hospital in Chantilly.
"The horse looked beaten at the time as the ground was too soft. I'm not to sure whether she caught Joey on the way down.
"He was moving everything and was conscious and it seemed like he may have concussion.
"His mother and brother are with him so he is in good hands."
