Robert Cowell reports Goldream back to his old self after failing to acclimatise in Dubai during the winter.
Last season's King's Stand Stakes and Prix de l'Abbaye hero was so dull in his coat he never got to race at Meydan, where his target was the Group One Al Quoz Sprint.
Cowell brought him home and is pleased the seven-year-old is thriving again.
The Temple Stakes at Haydock on May 21 is a possible first port of call for Goldream before he attempts to retain his King's Stand Stakes crown at Royal Ascot.
"He has turned the corner, thank goodness," said the Newmarket handler.
"It didn't happen for him in Dubai. He just didn't acclimatise - his coat was pretty poor all the time - but now he looks amazing and has put on weight.
"Hopefully, either the Temple Stakes or a race in France will come his way before heading off for the King's Stand again."
