Charlie Appleby intends to give Emotionless a gallop before racing at Newmarket on Wednesday as part of his preparations ahead of a tilt at the Qipco 2000 Guineas.
The three-year-old, who is the general second-favourite for the mile colts' Classic on April 30, will take part in the exercise on the Rowley Mile with his usual work companion Bow And Arrow and fellow stablemate Gold Trail.
After bolting up in the Champagne Stakes on his second start, having made a winning debut on the July Course, the son of Shamardal finished last in the Dewhurst Stakes on his final outing where it was discovered he had chipped a bone in his knee.
Appleby said: "All being well he will go to Newmarket on Wednesday if it is nice ground over there. It just depends what the weather does.
"We are very pleased with his preparations so far. He has wintered well and fitness-wise we are happy with him.
"I took him over to Racecourse Side two weeks ago and William Buick rode him and he seemed happy with him. We are very happy where we are at this stage.
"We had never planned to go for a trial, it was always a case of working back from the Guineas. At this stage he is now ready to go back up to the racecourse to hopefully do another nice routine bit of work."
